Hobie Adventure Island Sail Kayak in BRIGHTON ROAD, Victoria for sale
This 2008 Hobie Mirage Adventure Island sail kayak has been set up as the ultimate kayak fishing machine. It is ideal for fishing the waters of Port Phillip Bay near Melbourne. This kayak has caught everything from flathead, salmon, snapper, to kingfish and sharks! Everything on this kayak is in excellent working order. Sadly I must sell it because I no longer have the storage space to keep it at my new place.
This Adventure Island is kitted out with many extras for serious inshore/offshore fishing:
- Outriggers for absolute fishing stability and sailing
- Full sized sail
- Mirage pedal drive unit with upgraded turbo fins
- Gear bucket
- Custom made rod holders x 2 (ideal for multiple rods and trolling lures when sailing)
- Heavy-duty plug-in trolley

- Bag of spare parts (spare chains for Mirage drive, extra rubber pins, etc)
- Custom made roof rack mounting device (to make it easy to get the kayak onto an SUV’s roof)
I have priced this kayak at only $2400, which you will notice is far less than other Hobie Adventure Islands that are for sale. The reason is because this kayak is a bit older. Also there are some superficial scratches on the hull (from many beach landings) and aluminium outriggers (from fishing). However, everything on this kayak has been well maintained and it all works perfectly.
This kayak is currently stored in Bright, country Victoria. You can either collect it yourself. Alternatively, if you live in Melbourne, I’m happy to deliver it to you for only the cost of the petrol for the journey, estimated at around $50.
